WHAT
NOT TO EXPECT
An
absolutely glass-smooth tabletop finish such as you would find on fine furniture or a piano. A refinished floor is not a piano.
Floors are not supposed to be finished as you would fine furniture or a musical instrument for reasons of utility and safety.
A building acts as a vacuum when a door or window is opened, or when a furnace or fan is turned on, stirring up particulates
in the air which can settle on and stick to a freshly finished floor. Any minor grit in the finish of a wood floor which is
caused by environmental conditions will disappear with normal use and cleaning. This is not an error or defect in workmanship.
